How to Track Competitors

Competitor tracking can help you notice changes in product positioning, pricing, listing presentation, and niche activity. Use Enlistra’s competitor-related features where available, and follow applicable platform rules.

Choose relevant competitors

Track shops that serve a similar audience or product need. A competitor does not have to sell an identical item to provide useful context.

Record a baseline

Note the date, shop or product, the publicly available signals you are comparing, and any relevant observations. Keep comparisons consistent over time.

Look for changes, not isolated numbers

A single observation may be incomplete or affected by seasonality, sampling, or data delays. Look for repeated changes and cross-check important findings on Etsy.

Turn monitoring into action

Use your observations to ask better questions about your own shop: Is your offer clear? Are your images informative? Is your pricing sustainable? Can your product better serve a specific audience?

Respect boundaries

Do not copy another seller’s intellectual property, attempt to access private data, or use automated collection methods that violate platform terms.
